Is Sentai difficult to set up?
No! Sentai has been designed to be very easy to set up. Just download the Sentai app. The app will guide you through the process of connecting the speaker device to Wi-Fi in a few simple steps. The app then can be used to configure the service from anywhere, for example by creating reminders, daily routines, and adding family members. Care providers can also use the Sentai Pro dashboard to configure the service for users, and to manage employee / service user relationships at scale.
Does Sentai need an internet connection?
Yes. Sentai needs to be connected to the internet. If there’s no Wi-Fi, we can offer a mobile internet enabled model with an in-built eSIM.* See FAQ What if there is no Wi-Fi on site?

What if there is no Wi-Fi on site?
No problem! The mobile internet enabled version* of Sentai is designed for users who do not have access to Wi-Fi or their own internet connection at home. Whilst the device still needs to be plugged into a power outlet to function, it comes equipped with its own built-in 4G modem. This allows Sentai to connect to the internet via the 4G mobile network without needing a separate Wi-Fi or broadband connection. It's an ideal option for users who want the full functionality of Sentai but don’t have internet at home.

Can I have more than one Sentai in a house?
We currently support one speaker device per user account. We recommend placing this speaker in the main room of the home where users spend most of their time awake and engaging in conversation, reminders and tasks.
For enhanced lifestyle insight, each Sentai speaker has in-built smart hub that enables addition of further presence sensors in other rooms.*
